TIME TRIALS, MAY 17 : Job openings, Schedule, Swimmer Info, & More!

Greetings Flyer Families,
We’re so excited about Time Trials, which is run like a typical meet except with only our team present. Here’s info to help our morning run as smoothly as possible:
OPEN JOB ALERT: We have many timer positions open! Timers are critical to making Time Trials happen. Click HERE, login, sign up, and start earning points tomorrow!
SCHEDULE:
- 7:30–8:00 am Set-up and swimmer arrival
- Don’t forget to give yourself some extra time to find parking! Help us be a good neighbor by not blocking driveways or parking in red zones.
- Parking in the team parking lot is restricted at swim meets to our coaches, desk team, and officials.
- 8:00–9:00 am Team Meeting (by Oak Tree in back)/Warm-Ups for swimmers
- 9:00–11:00 am Time Trials
- 11:00 am BBQ
SWIMMER INFO:
- What to Wear: We encourage all to wear their team suit, but it is not required. Don’t forget caps, goggles, towels, and something warm to wear in between events.
- Team Meeting Location: At 8:00 am, swimmers meet at the oak tree at the back patio area of the pool for a team meeting (buddy activity, coach instructions, etc.).
- Warm Ups: Coaches will instruct each age group to warm up before our 9 am start.
- Food: Snack shack will be open. For our BBQ, swimmers will get a complimentary hotdog plate with chips, fruit, and drink. Plates are for non-swimmers are $5.
- Meet Prep & Procedures: Once you receive the meet program (keep an eye out for an additional email), which details when and which events a swimmer is doing, mark on your swimmer’s hand/arm their events. See attached photo, and click HERE to learn more about meet terms, structure, and how to read the meet program.
- Ages 8 and Under should additionally have their name and age written on the back right shoulder. See attached photos.
- 8 and Under Shepherding: Several events in advance, swimmers ages 8 and under should be brought by their caregivers to the covered awning area next to the pool. The volunteer Shepherd will then help swimmers line up in event lane order on the yellow circles and bring them each to their assigned lane.
- What to bring:
- Our usual seating area under the covered area will be limited. Our bleachers may be set up, but many families choose to bring chairs, pop-up tents, etc. to be comfortable during the meet.
- Don’t forget your Buddy Sheet (see attached)!
OTHER IMPORTANT INFO:
- JOBS: All volunteers should check in at the Jobs Table at least 10-15 minutes in advance.
- Timers will need to check in by 8:40 am at the table. Timers will be called to their seats 15 minutes ahead of the meet at 8:45 am.
- Runner and Relief Timers should meet Nancy Valero at the Meet Desk at 8:45 am.
- TEAM SPIRIT: Wear your gear and get ready to cheer!
- BIG HOUSE BEAN ORDERS: Coffee orders will be ready for pick up.
- MERCHANDISE TABLE: Caps and other fun team gear will be for sale.
- SWIM-A-THON: Make sure to check out the Swim-a-thon poster and get excited for one of our biggest fundraising events of the season!
