Good morning Flyer Families,

  • Warm Ups: Coaches will instruct each age group to warm up (starts at 4:30 pm).
  • Meet Prep & Procedures:
    • Meet Program will be posted to the individual meet tile on our calendar page, which details when and which events a swimmer is doing.
      • IMPORTANT: ALL swimmers/parents must check the Heat/Lane bulletin board (by the awning/covered area by pool) to confirm final assignments as they can change from the time the meet program is sent out to the start of the meet. Any last-minute changes will be reflected in the sheets on the bulletin board.
      • Mark on your swimmer’s hand/arm their events. See attached photo, and click HERE to learn more about meet terms and structure.
    • Ages 8 and Under (including minis) should additionally have their name and age written on the back right shoulder. See attached photos.
    • 8 and Under Shepherding (including minis): Several events in advance, swimmers ages 8 and under should be brought by parents to the covered awning area next to the pool. Shepherds should not need to leave their station to find swimmers. The volunteer Shepherd will help swimmers line up in event lane order on the yellow circles and bring them each to their assigned lane.
  • Jobs: For our home meet, all volunteers should check in at the Jobs Table at least 15-20 minutes in advance of their shift, so we know if there are positions we need to fill.
    • Timers will need to check in by 5:10 pm at the jobs table. Timers will be called to their seats 15 minutes ahead of the meet at 5:15 pm.
    • At 5:15 pm, any runner and relief timers should meet at the Meet Desk.
  • Snack Shack/Merchandise: Food, drinks, caps and other fun team gear will be for sale!
  • What to bring: Our usual seating area under the covered area will be limited. Bleachers are set up, but many families choose to bring chairs, pop-up tents, etc. to be comfortable during the meet. Please make sure to make space for the visiting team and help us welcome them to Forest Park!
