FPST Updates: 5/31 Meet, Swim Lessons, and MORE!

With the summer fast approaching, we know it's a busy time of year! In addition to reading these emails, use our website, forestparkflyers.com and follow us on Facebook and Instagram to stay up to date. Go FLYERS!
DEADLINES: Bishop Bash (Ages 8 and under) registration has been extended to June 4, 10 pm. See all invitational deadlines and info and register HERE.
MEET UPDATES:
- See the meet line up for the season HERE. (Looking ahead, June 4, AWAY meet at
Rancho Colorados, 3016 Rohrer Drive, Lafayette, CA, 5:30 PM, Warm up TBD)
- TOMORROW (Saturday, May 31) we swim at HOME vs. Martinez Community.
- Meets start at 9 am.
- FPST warm-ups: 7:55-8:25 am (make sure not to block driveways when parking).
- FAMILY SEATING: We need to make space for the visiting team, which will be larger than past teams. FPST should set up closer to the lanai side of the grass. See attached meet bio for a picture that shows our section.
- BUDDY ACTIVITY: Make up a handshake with your buddy!
- MEET PROGRAM/SHEET: As Is Meet Program is posted to the individual meet tile on our calendar page and on home page, right column. Boy's and Girl's sheets will eventually be posted there too. (See attached photos for example).
- Upon arrival ALL swimmers/parents must check the Heat/Lane bulletin board (by the awning/covered area by pool) to confirm final assignments as they can change from the time the meet program is sent out to the start of the meet.
- JOBS: Most volunteers should check in at the Jobs Check-In table at least 10-15 minutes in advance. Timers need to check in 20 minutes in advance.
- Timers will be called to their seats 15 minutes ahead of the meet at 8:45 am.
- At 8:45 am, any runner and relief timers should go to the Meet Desk.
OTHER IMPORTANT INFO:
- PRIVATE SWIM LESSONS are now available from our coaches. Links will be on our home page. Click HERE for Coach Jeff. Click HERE for Coach Lily. Others coming soon!
- SWIM-A-THON & PANCAKE FEED: Don’t miss one our biggest fundraising events of the season on June 7! Help us raise the funds needed to purchase critical items to support our team.
- 40 swimmers signed up = swimmers get to soak the coaches!
- Share your personalized giving link where you can update info about your swimmer and share an invite to donate with friends and family. Let us know if you did not receive it.
- JOBS: Sign-up for jobs and swimmer time slots. Let us know when your swimmer will do their laps and how you can help out. Many lap counters are needed for this important event! See the Swimathon event tile on our calendar to sign up like you would for a regular meet.
- Schedule for June 7:
- 8:15–9:15 am: Mixed Ages
- 9:15–10:00 am: 8 and unders
- 10:00–11:00 am: 9/10s
- 11:00 am–12:00 pm: 11 and ups
