Hi Flyer Families, 

City Meet is quickly approaching and we are ready to get this party started!

Catch a sneak peak at Spirit Week Activities happening during practices and ready to the end to see how you can help make this week extra amazing:

*Monday, 7/20: NO PRACTICE! The Team is headed to Hurricane Harbor! We'll get there to hop in line around 10:30 AM to whenever you and your child would like to leave. Come anytime. See the Hurricane Harbor map below, we like to set up in the purple circle area or close to it if you come after we enter. Be mindful that parking is $35 and carpooling is a great way to avoid that cost, talk to your fellow Flyers with season passes.

*Tuesday-Friday: Coach Appreciation we will have bags out with each Coach's name on it. We will have 1/2 sheets of paper available for your child to fill out a little note of appreciation. You are also welcome to add in your own personalized thank you note/drawing/gift card etc. in these bags.

Tuesday, 7/21: Coloring Contest! Winners from each age group get an ice cream gift card =)

Wednesday, 7/22: T-shirt tie-dye day! Bring one white t-shirt to morning practice to tie-dye! One tie dye shirt per swimmer.

Thursday, 7/23: Shrinky dink keychain craft and come to the Potato Bar (5-7 pm) to load up on carbs and decorate your car for City!

Sign up for Potato Bar items: Under the "Jobs" tab please let us know what you will contribute to the potato potluck. At the Potato Bar happening 5-7 pm we will be decorating cars to show our flyer spirit and love for our swimmers. Bring your CLEAN car and creativity, we'll have the markers for you!...Goooooooo Flyersssssssssssss! Note, swim team families are welcome to come swim during the potato bar.

Friday, 7/24: Decorate a paper plate for your buddy to be displayed at City Meet

SPECIAL BUDDY ACTIVITY: Another Flyer tradition we would like to continue is the making of posters for your Buddy! Please decorate and give an encouraging poster to your Buddy that is attending City Meet. This is a great time to go all out on these posters with their favorites! Hang it up in your tent to show your flyer spirit.

Little housekeeping: We'll be making additional Flyer posters to hang up down Cowell Road to encourage our swimmers as they drive into Concord Community Pool for City meet. Parents, we'd love your help in two ways:  

1. One, making the posters during practice times at the purple table
2. We need 3-4 parents that are willing to go put up posters either Thursday evening 7/23 or Friday morning 7/24.

3.  We'll also have a hospitality tent where we will have food, snacks, and drinks for our swimmers and their families. We love to have potluck style lunch on Saturday and Sunday of City. After signing in on our website, go to the City Meet tab and signup to bring an item for our potlucks.

Join the fun: This year’s City theme is, “Going to the Wrong Event”. Our team will be going to City meet as if we were, “Going to Disneyland”. If you would like to deck out your tent to show some Disney spirit, we would love that! The most decorated tent will get a family gift certificate for ice cream!
